Belhaven Surf Centre gained wide ranging support from the surf and local Dunbar community.
East Lothian Council has supported the project from the start, with specific endorsements from East Lothian Active Schools, Wave Project, East Lothian Area Partnership, Dunbar Community Council, East Lothian Sports development, East Lothian Countryside Rangers, Princess Trust, Surfers Against Sewage, Coast to Coast Surf School, Christian Surfers, Dunbar Surf Lifesaving.
